Professional dog Walking.

A higher standard of structured dog walking that puts calm behavior at it’s core.

Dog Walks

We offer a dog walking service from Monday to Friday covering Northallerton, Thirsk and surrounding areas. By selecting well thought out locations within the local area we can ensure that every walk is different for your dog. Lasting a minimum of 1 hour our walks are based around moving the dogs as a pack in close proximity to each other which helps to build calmness throughout the dogs in our care.

Whilst in our care your dog will practice:

  • Impulse control at boundaries such as doors and gates, whilst keeping calm near other dogs and people.

  • Entering and exiting the car calmly and comfortably with other dogs in close proximity.

  • Correct exposure to people, dogs and other animals whilst maintaining a relaxed lead and calm behavior.

  • Patiently waiting for other dogs in the pack to have toilet and water breaks.

  • At the end of every walk all dogs will spend some time relaxing near each other to practice calmness around other dogs

Our Walks.

Town Walks

Using the natural hustle and bustle of a busy market town, we can allow your dog to be exposed to certain environments whilst learning to ignore it’s surroundings and fall into pack drive where it will move freely through the town with the other dogs. This is a great way to help teach your dog to switch off in busy areas whilst there is allot going on around them. At the end of every walk, your dog will learn to relax with the pack.

Country and off grid walks

These walks are an effective method to acclimatise your dog to outdoor settings and nearby wildlife. During our countryside walk sessions, we focus on desensitising your dog to common stimuli such as sheep, cattle, birds and horses whilst also fostering their ability to follow the group dynamics and pace. Venturing into hilly terrain can pose difficulties for certain dog owners, our primary objective is to familiarise your dog with these environments also through exposure and practice.

Forest Walks

Walking the pack through a cooler route on warm days offers relief from the heat and a chance to appreciate the tranquility of the shady forest. Immersed in the serene ambiance of the woods, we enjoy calming fragrances and natural melodies. Dogs may struggle to stay composed in this environment, emphasising the importance of understanding the value of staying with the group.

FAQ’s

  • A home assessment is used for us to look at your dog and their temperament, behaviour, obedience level and handling fluency. The assessment itself is free, however if any additional training requirements are needed before your dog is ready for the pack then this will be discussed at the time.

  • Whilst we offer a dog walking service to the local area, we also focus heavily on dog training and so therefore can offer One to One lessons for dogs in need of any additional help.

  • Sometimes it may be too hot for a dog walk (even in the shade), or dangerous weather conditions such as storms and heavy snow may require us to plan differently. in these events, we will still carry out a pop in service on these days to give your dog a break and some time to relax and stretch their legs.

  • Each dog is treated as an individual, both for assessment and your monthly/weekly subscription. Every dog we work with represents a specific space which is reserved for them, and paid for with your subscription. We offer a high quality, high value service - and we believe our price plan reflects that.
